Climate change
A change in the state of the climate that can be identified (e.g. by using statistical tests) and that persists for decades. Climate change may be due to natural processes or external phenomenon such as modulations of the solar cycles, volcanic eruptions or changes due to human activity in the composition of the atmosphere or in land use (e.g., grazing, timber extraction, conservation and city dwelling). Increased greenhouse gas emissions from human activities are a major cause of current climate change. Source: IPCC glossary, 2021
